MERRY CHRISTMAS!

GIOTTO di Bondone
No. 17 Scenes from the Life of Christ: 1. Nativity: Birth of Jesus (before restoration)
1304-06

And it came to pass, that when they were there, her days were accomplished, that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds watching, and keeping the night watches over their flock. And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the brightness of God shone round about them; and they feared with a great fear. And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, that shall be to all the people:For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God, and saying: Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will. And it came to pass, after the angels departed from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another: Let us go over to Bethlehem, and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath shewed to us. And they came with haste; and they found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. And seeing, they understood of the word that had been spoken to them concerning this child. And all that heard, wondered; and at those things that were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God, for all the things they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. Lk.

Our Lady of Loreto is the Patroness of St Thomas Aquinas Versus NASA Blog

Pope St. John XXIII made a pilgrimage to the Holy House on October 4, 1962 to pray the day before the opening of Vatican Council II, to ask the Blessed Virgin's protection of the Council. Pope Benedict made the same pilgrimage 50 years later on October 4, 2012.Source
148 days after his visit to the Flying House Pope Benedict resigned.

Our Lady of Loreto is the Patroness of Aviation?

What? No, She is not.

The Flying House of Our Lady would NEVER violate the laws of God!

The Flying House never flew above 29,050ft, but modern day aircraft violate this boundary 24/7.

Many Catholics are ignorant of the boundary that God has established that man must not pass over and that is 29,050ft or 15 cubits above the mountain tops. This 29,050 boundary is the same level that the waters of the Deluge reached in the time of Noe cleansing the world of sin. This boundary is the same that the fires of the final conflagration will reach at the end of days to cleanse the world of sin.

Of course none of you believe a word of this, and that is where the problem lies.

Modern man violates the boundary that nature will not. Man violating the laws of God with air and space travel - all commercial flights exceed 29,050 ft 24/7.

What happens when men violate God's laws? Punishments in one form or another. The instruments used in violating the 29,050 ft will be the first to feel God's Justice.

So with this in mind I now made  Our Lady of Loreto as the Patroness of St Thomas Aquinas Versus NASA Blog

I will invoke Our Lady of Loreto during Mass to destroy the air and space industry. Just like a few men prayed to God to destroy the tower of Babel.

Will update regularly

V. Thou gavest birth without loss of thy virginity.
R. Intercede for us, O holy Mother of God.

Let us pray. O God, Who by the fruitful virginity of blessed Mary hast offered unto the human race the rewards of eternal salvation, grant, we beseech thee, that we may know the effects of her intercession, through whom we have deserved to receive the author of life, our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son. R. Amen.

From Candlemass to Easter (through Holy Week), AND from the day after Pentecost (or from Trinity Sunday, if Pentecost is celebrated with octave) to the beginning of Advent:

V. "Pray for us" and prayer "Grant unto thy servants," as above:

During Eastertide (from Easter day through Pentecost, and throughout the octave of Pentecost if it is celebrated):

V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord is truely risen, alleluia.

Let us pray. O God, Who by the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, hast vouchsafed to make glad the whole world, grant, we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life, through the same Christ our Lord. R. Amen.

EPISTLE SATURDAY IN EMBER WEEK OF ADVENT
2nd Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians 1-8

And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him: That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.

Rev. George Leo Haydock Roman Catholic Bible Commentary on II Thess ii.3-4

Ver. 3-4. First, &c.[2] What is meant by this falling away, (in the Greek this apostacy) is uncertain, and differently expounded. St. Jerome and others understand it of a falling off of other kingdoms, which before were subject to the Roman empire; as if St. Paul said to them: you need not fear that the day of judgment is at hand, for it will not come till other kingdoms, by a general revolt, shall have fallen off, so that the Roman empire be destroyed.

The same interpreters expound the sixth and seventh verses in like manner, as if when it is said, now you know[3] what withholdeth, &c. That is, you see the Roman empire subsisteth yet, which must be first destroyed. And when it is added, only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way; the sense, say these authors, is, let Nero and his successors hold that empire till it be destroyed, for not till then will the day of judgment come.

Cornelius a Lapide makes this exposition so certain, that he calls it a tradition of the fathers, which to him seems apostolical. But we must not take the opinion of some fathers, in the exposition of obscure prophecies, where they advance conjectures (which others at the same time reject, or doubt of) to be apostolical traditions, and articles of faith, as the learned bishop of Meaux, Bossuet, takes notice on this very subject, in his preface and treatise on the Apocalypse, against Jurieux.

St. Jerome indeed, and others, thought that the Roman empire was to subsist till the antichrist's coming, which by the event most interpreters conclude to be a mistake, and that it cannot be said the Roman empire continues to this time. See Lyranus on this place, St. Thomas Aquinas, Salmeron, Estius, and many others; though Cornelius a Lapide, with some few, pretend the Roman empire still subsists in the emperors of Germany. We also find that divers of the ancient fathers thought that the day of judgment was just at hand in their time. See Tertullian, St. Cyprian, St. Gregory the Great, &c. And as to this place, it cannot be said the fathers unanimously agree in their exposition. St. Chrysostom[4], Theodoret, St. Augustine in one of his expositions, by this falling off, and apostacy, understand antichrist himself, apostatizing from the Catholic faith. And they who expound it of Nero, did not reflect that this letter of St. Paul was written under Claudius, before Nero's reign.

According to a third and common exposition, by this revolt or apostacy, others understand a great falling off of great numbers from the Catholic Church and faith, in those nations where it was professed before; not but that, as St. Augustine expressly takes notice, the Church will remain always visible, and Catholic in its belief, till the end of the world. This interpretation we find in St. Cyril[5] of Jerusalem. (Catech. 15.) See also St. Anselm on this place, St. Thomas Aquinas, Salmeron, Estius, &c. In fine, that there is no apostolical tradition, as to any of the interpretations of these words, we may be fully convinced from the words of St. Augustine[6], lib. xx. de Civ. Dei. chap. 19. t. 7. p. 597. Nov. edit., where he says: For my part, I own myself altogether ignorant what the apostle means by these words; but I shall mention the suspicions of others, which I have read, or heard. Then he sets down the exposition concerning the Roman empire. He there calls that a suspicion and conjecture, which others say is an apostolical tradition. In like manner the ancient fathers are divided, as to the exposition of the words of the sixth and seventh verse, when it is said you know what hindereth; some understand that antichrist must come first. Others, that the beforementioned apostacy, or falling off from the Church, must happen before. And when St. Paul says, (ver. 7.) that he who now holdeth, do hold; some expound it, let him take care at the time of such trials, to hold, and preserve the true faith to the end.

When the expositions are so different, as in this place, whosoever pretends to give a literal translation ought never to add words to the text, which determine the sense to such a particular exposition, and especially in the same print, as Mr. N. hath done on the seventh verse, where he translates, only let him that now holdeth the faith, keep it until he be taken out of the way. --- And the man of sin[7] revealed, the son of perdition, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. He is called again, (ver. 8.) that wicked one....whom the Lord Jesus Christ shall kill with the spirit of his mouth. By all these words is described to us the great antichrist, about the end of the world, according to the unexceptionable authority and consent of the ancient fathers.

It is as ridiculous as malicious to pretend, with divers later reformers, that the pope, and all the popes since the destruction of the Roman empire, are the great antichrist, the man of sin, &c. Grotius, Dr. Hammond, and divers learned Protestants, have confuted and ridiculed this groundless fable, of which more on the Apocalypse. It may suffice to observe here that antichrist, the man of sin, the son of perdition, the wicked one, according to all the ancients, is to be one particular man, not so many different men. That he is to come a little while before the day of judgment. That he will make himself be adored, and pretend to be God. What pope did so? That he will pretend to be Christ, &c. (Witham) --- St. Augustine (de Civ. Dei. book xx. chap. 19.) says, that an attack would be made at one and the same time against the Roman empire and the Church. The Roman empire subsists as yet, in Germany, though much weakened and reduced. The Roman Catholic Church, notwithstanding all its losses, and the apostacy of many of its children, has always remained the same. (Calmet) — The two special signs of the last day will be a general revolt, and the manifestation of antichrist, both of which are so dependent on each other, that St. Augustine makes but one of both.

What presumptive folly in Calvin and other modern reformers, to oppose the universal sentiments of the fathers both of the Latin and Greek Church! What inconsistency, to give such forced interpretations, not only widely different from the expositions of sound antiquity, but also widely different from each other! The Church of God, with her head, strong in the promises of Jesus Christ, will persevere to the end, frustra circumlatrantibus hæreticis. (St. Augustine, de util. cred. chap. xvii.) --- In the temple. Either that of Jerusalem, which some think he will rebuild; or in some Christian Church, which he will pervert to his own worship; as Mahomet has done with the churches of the east. (Challoner)

[2] Ver. 3-4. Nisi venerit discessio primum, e apostasia. St. Jerome (Ep. ad Algasiam. q. 11. t. 4. p. 209) Apostasia, inquit [] ut omnes Gentes, quæ Rom. Imperio subjacent, recedant ab eis.

[3] Ver. 3-4. St. Chrysostom (log. d. p. 235) says that by these words, you know what hindereth, is probably understood the Roman empire, &c. and Tertullian (lib. de Resur. Carnis. chap. xxiv. p. 340) on those words, till taken out of the way, donec de medio fiat, Quis nisi Romanorum status?

[4] Ver. 3-4. St. Chrysostom (log. g. p. 232) ti estin e apostasia autoi kalei ton Antichriston. See Theodoret on this place.

[5] Ver. 3-4. St. Cyril of Jerusalem (Cat. xv) says, this apostacy is from the true faith and good works: aute estin e apostasia. St. Anselm and others mention both expositions, i.e. from the Roman empire, or from the faith.

[6] Ver. 3-4. St. Augustine: Ego prorsus quid dixerit, me fateor ignorare....suspiciones tamen hominum, quas vel audire, vel legere potui, non tacebo, &c. Quidam putant hoc de Imperio dictum esse Romano, &c.

[7] Ver. 3-4. O anthropos tes amartias, o uios tes apoleias, o antikeimenos, &c. ille homo peccati, ille filius perditionis: the Greek articles sufficiently denote a particular man.

NY POST

Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini (Pope Pius II) on what hinders the manifestation of the Antichrist:

The Roman Empire also has another privilege, as some asert: they do not think that Antichrist will come while it remains in existence. Thus they interpret these words of St Paul, doctor of the Gentiles, that he who now holdeth, do hold until he be taken out of the way. And then the wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord shall kill with the spirit of His mouth [II Thessalonians 2:7-8]. It is evident that the divine Augustine followed this opinion. Origin and Authority of the Roman Empire.

St John Chrysostom Homily IV on Second Thessalonians II Thess.ii.6-9:

And now ye know that which restrains, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season. For the mystery of lawlessness does already work: only there is one that restrains now, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of His coming: even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan.

One may naturally enquire, what is that which withholds, and after that would know, why Paul expresses it so obscurely. What then is it that withholds, that is, hinders him from being revealed? Some indeed say, the grace of the Spirit, but others the Roman empire, to whom I most of all accede. Wherefore? Because if he meant to say the Spirit, he would not have spoken obscurely, but plainly, that even now the grace of the Spirit, that is the gifts, withhold him. And otherwise he ought now to have come, if he was about to come when the gifts ceased; for they have long since ceased.

But because he said this of the Roman empire, he naturally glanced at it, and speaks covertly and darkly. For he did not wish to bring upon himself superfluous enmities, and useless dangers. For if he had said that after a little while the Roman empire would be dissolved, they would immediately have even overwhelmed him, as a pestilent person, and all the faithful, as living and warring to this end. And he did not say that it will be quickly, although he is always saying it— but what? that he may be revealed in his own season, he says, For the mystery of lawlessness does already work.

He speaks here of Nero, as if he were the type of Antichrist. For he too wished to be thought a god. And he has well said, the mystery; that is, it works not openly, as the other, nor without shame. For if there was found a man before that time, he means, who was not much behind Antichrist in wickedness, what wonder, if there shall now be one?

But he did not also wish to point him out plainly: and this not from cowardice, but instructing us not to bring upon ourselves unnecessary enmities, when there is nothing to call for it. So indeed he also says here. Only there is one that restrains now, until he be taken out of the way, that is, when the Roman empire is taken out of the way, then he shall come. And naturally. For as long as the fear of this empire lasts, no one will willingly exalt himself, but when that is dissolved, he will attack the anarchy, and endeavor to seize upon the government both of man and of God.

For as the kingdoms before this were destroyed, for example, that of the Medes by the Babylonians, that of the Babylonians by the Persians, that of the Persians by the Macedonians, that of the Macedonians by the Romans: so will this also be by the Antichrist, and he by Christ, and it will no longer withhold. And these things Daniel delivered to us with great clearness.

And then, he says, shall be revealed the lawless one. And what after this? The consolation is at hand. Whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of His coming, even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan.

For as fire merely coming on even before its arrival makes torpid and consumes the little animals that are afar off; so also Christ, by His commandment only, and Coming. It is enough for Him to be present, and all these things are destroyed. He will put a stop to the deceit, by only appearing. Then who is this, whose coming is after the working of Satan, With all display all power, but nothing true, but for deceit. And lying wonder, he says, that is, false, or leading to falsehood."

St Augustine of Hippo on the manifestation of the Antichrist De civitate Dei, Bk. 20, c. 19

What the Apostle Paul Wrote to the Thessalonians About the Manifestation of Antichrist Which Shall Precede the Day of the Lord.

I see that I must omit many of the statements of the gospels and epistles about this last judgment, that this volume may not become unduly long; but I can on no account omit what the Apostle Paul says, in writing to the Thessalonians, We beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, etc.

No one can doubt that he wrote this of Antichrist and of the day of judgment, which he here calls the day of the Lord, nor that he declared that this day should not come unless he first came who is called the apostate — apostate, to wit, from the Lord God. And if this may justly be said of all the ungodly, how much more of him?

But it is uncertain in what temple he shall sit, whether in that ruin of the temple which was built by Solomon, or in the Church; for the apostle would not call the temple of any idol or demon the temple of God. And on this account some think that in this passage Antichrist means not the prince himself alone, but his whole body, that is, the mass of men who adhere to him, along with him their prince; and they also think that we should render the Greek more exactly were we to read, not in the temple of God, but for or as the temple of God, as if he himself were the temple of God, the Church. Then as for the words, And now ye know what withholds, i.e., you know what hindrance or cause of delay there is, that he might be revealed in his own time; they show that he was unwilling to make an explicit statement, because he said that they knew.

And thus we who have not their knowledge wish and are not able even with pains to understand what the apostle referred to, especially as his meaning is made still more obscure by what he adds. For what does he mean by For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now holds, let him hold until he be taken out of the way: and then shall the wicked be revealed? I frankly confess I do not know what he means. I will nevertheless mention such conjectures as I have heard or read.

Some think that the Apostle Paul referred to the Roman empire, and that he was unwilling to use language more explicit, lest he should incur the calumnious charge of wishing ill to the empire which it was hoped would be eternal; so that in saying, For the mystery of iniquity does already work, he alluded to Nero, whose deeds already seemed to be as the deeds of Antichrist. And hence some suppose that he shall rise again and be Antichrist. Others, again, suppose that he is not even dead, but that he was concealed that he might be supposed to have been killed, and that he now lives in concealment in the vigor of that same age which he had reached when he was believed to have perished, and will live until he is revealed in his own time and restored to his kingdom.

But I wonder that men can be so audacious in their conjectures. However, it is not absurd to believe that these words of the apostle, Only he who now holds, let him hold until he be taken out of the way, refer to the Roman empire, as if it were said, Only he who now reigns, let him reign until he be taken out of the way. And then shall the wicked be revealed: no one doubts that this means Antichrist. But others think that the words, You know what withholds, and The mystery of iniquity works, refer only to the wicked and the hypocrites who are in the Church, until they reach a number so great as to furnish Antichrist with a great people, and that this is the mystery of iniquity, because it seems hidden; also that the apostle is exhorting the faithful tenaciously to hold the faith they hold when he says, Only he who now holds, let him hold until he be taken out of the way, that is, until the mystery of iniquity which now is hidden departs from the Church.

For they suppose that it is to this same mystery John alludes when in his epistle he says, Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us. 1 John 2:18-19 As therefore there went out from the Church many heretics, whom John calls many antichrists, at that time prior to the end, and which John calls the last time, so in the end they shall go out who do not belong to Christ, but to that last Antichrist, and then he shall be revealed.

Thus various, then, are the conjectural explanations of the obscure words of the apostle. That which there is no doubt he said is this, that Christ will not come to judge quick and dead unless Antichrist, His adversary, first come to seduce those who are dead in soul; although their seduction is a result of God's secret judgment already passed. For, as it is said his presence shall be after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, and with all seduction of unrighteousness in them that perish. For then shall Satan be loosed, and by means of that Antichrist shall work with all power in a lying though a wonderful manner.

It is commonly questioned whether these works are called signs and lying wonders because he is to deceive men's senses by false appearances, or because the things he does, though they be true prodigies, shall be a lie to those who shall believe that such things could be done only by God, being ignorant of the devil's power, and especially of such unexampled power as he shall then for the first time put forth. For when he fell from heaven as fire, and at a stroke swept away from the holy Job his numerous household and his vast flocks, and then as a whirlwind rushed upon and smote the house and killed his children, these were not deceitful appearances, and yet they were the works of Satan to whom God had given this power. Why they are called signs and lying wonders, we shall then be more likely to know when the time itself arrives.

But whatever be the reason of the name, they shall be such signs and wonders as shall seduce those who shall deserve to be seduced, because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved. Neither did the apostle scruple to go on to say, For this cause God shall send upon them the working of error that they should believe a lie. For God shall send, because God shall permit the devil to do these things, the permission being by His own just judgment, though the doing of them is in pursuance of the devil's unrighteous and malignant purpose, that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Therefore, being judged, they shall be seduced, and, being seduced, they shall be judged. But, being judged, they shall be seduced by those secretly just and justly secret judgments of God, with which He has never ceased to judge since the first sin of the rational creatures; and, being seduced, they shall be judged in that last and manifest judgment administered by Jesus Christ, who was Himself most unjustly judged and shall most justly judge.

"People falsely assumed that the Antichrist would emerge on the world scene once the Roman Empire was extinguished." Protestant heretics: Gerald Flurry, Stephen Flurry and J. Tim Thompson.
Protestant hatred for the Divinely Ordained Holy Roman Empire is manifested in their rejection of the Church Fathers on the subject of the continuance of the Authority of the Roman Emperor until the end of time. All Church Fathers are in agreement that the Authority of the Roman Emperor hinders the manifestation of the antichrist, this Catholic doctrine is found in St Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians. The following is St John Chrysostom's commentary on this epistle of St Paul and the verse on what withholdeth the manifestation of the antichrist:
And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders II Thess ii 6-9

Unfortunately the majority of Roman Catholics would agree with this protestant view that the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor does not hinder the manifestation of the antichrist, but instead would say that the Holy Roman Empire is a vehicle for the reign of antichrist.

The purpose of this blog is to bring attention this political and religious heresy that is prevalent among modern day Roman Catholics. Little do most realize that the Church Fathers are all in agreement that the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor is necessary to hinder the manifestation of the antichrist. Most modern day Roman Catholics would mock such a doctrine. The dismissal of this end-time doctrine is a rejection of Church doctrine and is described by Sister Lucy as the diabolical disorientation.

Ember Saturday In Advent 2016: The Coming Restoration Of The Divinely Ordained Authority Of The Holy Roman Emperor (II)

GHIRLANDAIO, Domenico
Madonna and Child
1470-75

EPISTLE SATURDAY IN EMBER WEEK OF ADVENT

2nd Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians 1-8

Ember Saturday In Advent 2016: The Coming Restoration Of The Divinely Ordained Authority Of The Holy Roman Emperor (I)

GHIRLANDAIO, Domenico
The Nativity
c. 1492

EPISTLE SATURDAY IN EMBER WEEK OF ADVENT:
2nd Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Thessalonians 1-8
According to the majority of Church Fathers (except one), the visible Authority of the Roman Emperor is what hinders the manifestation of the Antichrist, nothing else hinders the manifestation of the Antichrist or impedes his precursors. When the Imperial seat remains vacant, the Antichrist will be allowed manifest himself. This Church doctrine on the manifestation of the Antichrist and what hinders the same, is found in the Second Epistle of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians the Epistle reading for Ember Saturday:

First:

The final revolt against the authority of the Roman Emperor. There have been many revolts against the Roman Emperor thruogh out history, but there will be the final revolt:
Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. II Thess.ii.3
Second:

The removal of the governing authority of the Roman Emperor from the world stage by worldwide revolt. HRE is the one who withholdeth the manifestation of the antichrist:
And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed II Thess.ii.6-8
Third:

The usurpation of the Authority of the Roman Emperor by the antichrist:
Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself as if he were God. II Thess. ii.4
The purpose of this site is to bring attention to this very fact that Saint Paul speaks only of the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor in his Second Epistle to the Thessalonians.

The Roman Catholic Church has always held to this interpretation of St Paul: that the authority of the Roman Emperor is he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way, only then will the Antichrist be made manifest.

This site is the first of its kind to proclaim the desire to restore the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor to impede the manifestation of the Antichrist. This site is the vanguard of those who desire to restore the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor.

John Zmirak, Christopher A. Ferrara & Fr. Peter Scott Are Now The Most Active Partisans For The Coming of The Anti-Christ

Updated note: this post was originally published in 2009.

Christopher A. Ferrara is still the same  - a shill for modern democracy and distributism.

Fr. Peter Scott is a SSPX priest and I have no problem with the SSPX (never did) however when it comes to this point on the urgent need for a true world authority (i.e. Holy Roman Emperor) if you're against the restoration of the HRE then you're in the camp of the forerunner to the Antichrist even if you're a SSPX priest. I don't play favorites.

John Zmirak. He's hooked himself up with Steve Skojec - need I say more?

Here the original post still stands:

It used to be the Jews that were the most active partisans for the coming of the antichrist. But times have changed, we now see Roman Catholic men taking up the cause for the manifestation of the antichrist and here is the reason why: According to Saint Paul the visible authority of the Roman Emperor hinders the manifestation of the antichrist:
And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; 2Thess2:-8
All Church Fathers except for one, interpret St Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians and his words:
what withholdeth
to mean the authority of the Roman Emperor, once pagan now Roman Catholic.

Here are a few of the Church Fathers on this matter:
"Only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way," that is, when the Roman empire is taken out of the way, then he shall come. And naturally. For as long as the fear of this empire lasts, no one will willingly exit himself, but when that is dissolved, he will attack the anarchy, and endeavor to seize upon the government both of man and of God” John Chrysostom Homily 4 on Second Thessalonians ii. 6--9.
“There is also another and a greater necessity for our offering prayer in behalf of the emperors, nay, for the complete stability of the empire, and for Roman interests in general. For we know that a mighty shock impending over the whole earth--in fact, the very end of all things threatening dreadful woes---is only retarded by the continued existence of the Roman empire” Tertullian The Apology Chapter 32
that after the defection and abolition of the Roman Kingdome, antichrist shall come.
St. Ambrose upon 2 Thess. 2
Now the above Church Fathers’ interpretation of St Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians has never been contested or dismissed all these two thousand years. The interpretation of the Church Fathers still stands.

Only the visible authority of the Roman Emperor hinders the manifestation of the antichrist.

So it then stands to reason that if the Church Fathers state that the visible authority of the Roman Emperor hinders the manifestation of the antichrist, then Universal Authority is needed to restore all things in Christ. In order to truly restore all things in Christ, Universal Authority is needed to guide, direct and govern the world. It also stands to reason that if Roman Catholic men want to restore all things in Christ then the best way to do this is by hindering the manifestation of the antichrist. You really can not have both opposing authorities ruling the world at the same time. It is either the Authority of Christ ruling the world or it is the authority of the antichrist ruling the world. It is either-or, not both. Enter Pope Benedict XVI and his call for a True World Political Authority. The following comments are from those partisans for the coming of the antichrist who are dead set against any universal political authority.
Is the pope calling here for a worldwide state, with coercive authority, that will govern all men at once? ….On this point I must say respectfully to His Holiness: Not in this lifetime’ John Zmirak
'Catholics have every right respectfully but vigorously to oppose creation of a "true world political authority' Christopher A. Ferrara Remnant Columnist
‘The most shocking and long-reaching conclusion of this positive promotion of globalization on a human and cultural as well as economic level is the call for an international authority to impose it legally, to enforce in an obligatory manner the dialogue between economies, cultures, religions, and peoples as promoted by this integral humanism…..This means the loss of national sovereignty and any possibility of union between Church and State. It means the establishment of the one world order that Freemasonry has long fought to achieve.’ Fr. Peter Scott
Now the above three partisans for the coming of the antichrist can claim that they indeed are working to restore all things in Christ by hindering the universal kingdom of the antichrist by vigorously opposing Pope Benedict’s call for a True World Political Authority. But the Church Fathers have already spoken on this matter. If you want to hinder the manifestation of the antichrist then there has to be a visible Universal Authority, which according to the Church Fathers is the Universal Authority of the Roman Emperor. But you see these three partisans for the coming of the antichrist never admit the need for the Universal Authority of the Roman Emperor to hinder the manifestation of the antichrist. No, instead these men would rather that there be no Universal Authority of any kind. For them no need for Pope Benedict’s call for a True World Political Authority, and no need for the Universal Authority of the Roman Emperor. Question for you three partisans for the coming of the antichrist just how do you restore all things in Christ without a visible Universal Authority of any kind? Congratulations gentlemen you have out Jewed the Jew.

Steve Skojec Cracks! Allows La Salette To Be Mentioned In Post By Michael More

“A forerunner of the Antichrist, with his troops gathered from several nations, will fight against the true Christ, the only Saviour of the world. He will shed much blood and will want to annihilate the worship of God to make himself be looked upon as a God. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)
I have a hard time believing that Skojec will continue to allow talk of La Salette on his Blog. Unless of course he knows he can't prophecy to his followers without the Secret of La Salette.

He allows  Michael More to write this in his post Till the Storms of Destruction Pass By….
What then of La Salette? …Fatima? …Akita? …Wars and rumors of war? … Natural disasters? …the modern diaspora of Islam? …a Church with two popes? …Cardinal against cardinal? …the sun spinning in the sky?
Of course to put La Salette and Akita side by side causes some problems - but thats Steve style to mix error with truth.

Also find it intersting that mention is made a Church with two popes & the sun spinning in the sky.

I think Steve is about to steal a great deal of what I have posted on this blog and St Thomas Aqunias Versus NASA.

Interesting to see what the reaction of Steve's followers have to say about the above words of Mr. More. If Steve sees a favorable reaction to La Salette & the TWO POPES of Mélanie then I would think Steve will go full La Salette & impress the world with his insights! LOL!

Sooner or later Skojec would have to address the harsh words he used against Mélanie
"I didn't see, I don't see any Great Pope or Great Monarch before an extremely great tribulation, horrifying, terrible and general for all Christendom. But before that time, twice there will be a short lived peace; two shaky, servile, doubtful popes" Mélanie

Unam Sanctam Catholicam Blog Promoting Catholic NATIONALISM!

I guess Traditionalist are looking to Nationalism to restore all thing in Christ. I always accused Trads of doing such before any concrete evidence was given - mainly because Trads involvement with Distributism I figured that the next step would be Nationalism. Not to mention the fact that there will be a forerunner to the Antichrist as foretold by Our Lady of La Salette (see above) & Our Lady of Fatima who said that a man would raise an army of men from many nations and will kill the Fatima Pope and faithful upon a steep Mountain.

Maybe the forerunner found in the La Salette message is why many Trads hate La Salette - they see themselves in this message, just like Melanie said.

The purpose of some of my blogs is to ferret out just who this forerunner to the Antichrist.

I do know that he will be a Catholic

I do know that he will be a Nationalist.

That is, a Nationalists as opposed to Universalist.

A Catholic Universalist is one who desires the restoration of the Divinely Ordained Authority of the Holy Roman Emperor. There is next to none who desire this except me and maybe a few others.

No, instead the majority of Trads are obsessed with Democracy and are now looking to Nationalism to save the world.

Here is an example of a deluded soul who looks to Democracy and Nationalism to right the wrongs of this world:
Understood as a reaction to globalism, I think there is room for an authentic Catholic nationalism. If patriotism is a love of the fatherland, I think nationalism is the affection for the fatherland translated into a positive, political will to see it protected, strengthened, and extolled. Of course, I am talking about a nationalism that is in accord with right reason and the Catholic tradition (preserving it from a blind jingoism). If nationalism is understood in terms of a rejection of the principles of globalism and pluralism, it certainly can be a very Catholic impulse.
It could be asked, "If one wants to reject globalism, why not adopt subsidiarism instead? Why opt for nationalism?" I honestly do not think nationalism and subsidiarism are opposed to one another. I think one can have an authentic Catholic nationalism that is subsidiarist. But did I not above argue that 19th century nationalism was antagonistic towards the subsidiarist systems of Christendom?
Yes, I did, but I also argued that nationalism has many forms, and that it is often defined by what it is opposing, and that there is no necessary reason why nationalism must include, for example, a mono-lingual society or a bloated, centralized bureaucracy Nationalism has to do with how a nation fends for its own interests relative to other nations; subsidiarism has to do with how a nation organizes itself. As I see it, I don't get why a nation cannot have a fundamentally nationalist foreign policy but a subsidiarist domestic policy. This seems like common sense to me; the virtues, industry, and wealth generated by a robust regional economy could be put into a strong, nationalist foreign policy.
In the contemporary situation where the world's elites are enamored with a globalist vision, I will absolutely take a nationalist foreign policy any day over a globalist one, either of the neo-con or liberal variety. And I don't think such a foreign policy need necessarily conflict with subsidiarity at home, or a Catholic political ethos. Source
According to the majority of Traditionalists:

Democracy is good
Globalism is bad
Nationalism is good

None of these lovers of the ballot box would even dream of a Globalism of the  Divinely Ordained Authority of the Holy Roman Emperor. No, these deluded souls would rather be ruled by a protestant than to be ruled by a Roman Catholic Emperor - and to prove me wrong they will follow the forerunner to the Antichrist - who will be a Catholic Nationalist.

Who is in the camp of the forerunner to the Antichrist?

The Moment When Novus Ordo Watch Finally Agrees With Steve Skojec On Pope Francis! LOL!

Prick

HUBRIS: Excessive pride or self-confidence

What took so long for the lay folks at Novus Ordo Watch to finally admit that Steve Skojec was right about Pope Francis?  Steve was the only voice crying out about Pope Francis. No one dare say anything about the Pope, until Steve spoke up! LOL!

Only the insights of Steve could have foreseen the disaster that is Pope Francis - without Steve - we would all be lost!

Actually its not  Novus Ordo Watch that now sees  the greatness Steve but some other blogger. Here read the words of Steve and wonder......
When I started ringing the alarm about Francis in October of 2013, I didn’t make a lot of friends.
In fact, over the last three years, a number of other Catholic writers had a nice little competition amongst themselves to see who could take the most pot-shots at me, and the work we do here. Of course, as the situation became more clear, our credibility waxed and theirs waned. Too many good and decent Catholics who tried as hard as they could to hold back judgment eventually threw up their hands. I was at a get together last weekend with some folks I’d never met, and the exasperation was palpable. One man said to me, “I’m done with Pope Francis at this point.”
Among the most fervent of my detractors is a little-known blogger by the name of Scott Eric Alt. He has spent quite a bit of time firing in our direction from his blog. If I’m not mistaken, he’s the fellow who coined the nickname, “OneVaderFive.” But today, he is finally singing a different tune. In a post entitled, “Sorry, But I’ve Changed My Mind About Pope Francis“, he writes:

The truth is, Eric is right. We’ve never claimed to speak with authority on these issues, because it’s not our job. We’ve simply refused to let the questions that this pontificate raises be buried. We’ve held feet to the fire. We’ve relentlessly pushed the discussion into the public eye so that people could at least feel that it was no longer taboo to talk about it. We’ve attempted to give cover for theologians, priests, and yes, even bishops and cardinals, to address these issues that are of significant concern to the faithful.
Only the pope can speak with authority on these questions. But he can only do so if he affirms, rather than denies, the teaching of Our Lord and his predecessors. This is what has Francis in a pickle. He can’t answer the dubia without unmaking his own program of upending the faith. Either he refutes his own obvious agenda, thus discrediting it, or he embraces it and makes himself into a public and manifest heretic. There is no winning option for him unless he has a sudden Damascus moment and stops persecuting the true followers of Christ to become a champion of orthodoxy. More
LOL!

And thanks to Louie Verrecchio who called out the prideful Steve back in September:
“I can scarcely believe that Skojec chose to make those comments,” my friend wrote.
“I’m really amazed that he would stir the pot with both hands like that.”
I’m not.
The reason Skojec decided to take a poke at two of Catholicism’s finest publications isn’t a mystery; he made his motives entirely plain when he immediately went on to say:
"There are probably any number of reasons why 1P5 has, in just two years, become one of the top three mainstream traditional Catholic publications online (in terms of audience size), but I suspect our attempt to find balance in our approach and not treat those who don’t yet see the point we’re making as the enemy are a part of that."
If there is anything amazing here, it’s the shamelessness and ease with which Skojec can engage in cringeworthy acts of self-promotion, and it’s nothing new.
Neither is his willingness to exploit an opportunity to bash what he clearly sees as competition (not their ideas) for almighty “audience size” and the benefits presumably derived therefrom; even if it means launching a calculated attack against those who are clearly on the side of the true Faith and have always treated him with every kindness.
I’ve long since had firsthand knowledge that this is Skojec’s modus operandi, it just never merited my attention; much less yours. We have bigger fish to fry.
So, why comment on it now?
Well, for one, it’s that “Italian thing” woven into both my DNA and my upbringing:
Mess with one of us, deal with all of us.
Michael Matt, Chris Ferrara, and John Vennari are family (and two of the three paesani!) These are not just sincere, committed Catholics; they are gentlemen of the first order.
Even after several years of speaking at conferences and collaborating with these men (and others of similarly impeccable stature), I still cannot get over just how readily they accepted me as a brother-in-arms in the battle to defend Catholic tradition.
I’m the least in this group by far, and yet they’ve never given off even the slightest hint of superiority; even though they have earned that right. On the contrary, they’ve consistently encouraged me and my efforts from the very first, and in ways too numerous to number.
Now, that’s not to say that we always agree with one another – mainly as it concerns style and approach (well, my style and approach, anyway) – but the bond between Soldiers for Christ isn’t built on such things as this; it’s built on the common cause of defending the truth regardless of cost.
These very same men never treated Steve Skojec any differently than they’ve treated me. As a matter of justice, they are due far better from him than the round of self-serving sniper fire they received.
By the way, if this reminds you of the Voris manifesto, there’s a reason for that; the cloth from which they are cut is far more similar than may initially meet the eye.
In any case, the missing ingredient in Skojec’s relationship with Matt, Ferrara and Vennari (and me, for that matter) is plain; it’s the aforementioned common cause.
In other words, one of these men is not like the others.
If it wasn’t evident already, it should be by now that not all who claim to be serving the cause of traditional Catholicism have this as their primary concern.
Sure, it may be a concern; after all, that’s the inventory on the shelves, but building their individual brand takes priority over building the Kingdom of Christ, and that’s precisely what is going on here.
Seriously, what Catholic commentator whose focus is where it belongs really gives a rat’s ass about “the top three mainstream traditional Catholic publications online;” much less is so blinded by pride and ambition as to posture openly about such things without any sense of embarrassment?
I can honestly say that I have no idea who these “top three” players are and couldn’t possibly care less. If someone is doing good work, God bless them and their efforts. If they’re misrepresenting the Faith; their false ideas are fair game.
On this blog – likewise at the Remnant and CFN – it’s enough just to focus on confronting, as plainly as possible, the unprecedented attacks being leveled against Christ and His Church in our day; sometimes even with a “sharp elbow.” (Oh, the horror!)
There is no playing both ends against the middle on our pages – at once applauding another’s effort and then sneaking a self-aggrandizing attack into the combox – or any other such patently phony attempt to “find balance in our approach.”
The proud and puffed up always end up exposing themselves eventually.
This time last week, Michael Matt, Chris Ferrara, and John Vennari thought that Steve Skojec shared the priorities of every so-called “traditionalist,” aka Catholic.
Now they know better, and so do you.
Here's the funny part:

I don't even think that Steve Skojec knows himself how much of a insufferable prick he is!

So here's my take - Steve will go from victory to victory until he finds himself in the town square performing magic, and in order to prove himself to be a god, he levitates up into the air above the the town square. When a Holy Priest prays to God to stop his flying, and he stops mid-air and falls, breaking his legs "in three parts". The previously non-hostile Internet crowd then stones him. (Taken more or less from Acts of Peter)

All kidding aside - a serious note - Our Lady of La Salette said that there will be a Forerunner to the Anti-Christ
This forerunner to the Anti-Christ is the same man who will murder the Fatima Pope and faithful as foretold by Our Lady of Fatima:
'a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.' Sr Lucy Tuy-3-1-1944
Steve is a product of the cult of Father Marcial Maciel, the Legion of Christ. He only came to tradition in the last few years - he apes all that is holy to fool many as possible, just like Marcial Maciel did.

I believe that Steve Skojec is the best candidate for the forerunner to the Anti-Christ....

You Love Me And You Know It.......
