The Philosopher sayth that contrary things set together,show themselves the better what they are: wherefore because Christ here in the Gospel speaketh of two contraries, to wit the false and counterfeit Justice of the Pharisees, and the true Justice which he requireth of us now under the new law; I will describe the justice of the Pharisees, that we may see the justice of Christ the more plainly thereby.

Immediately before this Gospel, Christ had said to his disciples,Let your light shine before men,that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven; And again,I came not to break but to fulfill the law: The Scribes, and the Pharisees being accounted of the people more religious then the rest, gave themselves to this doctrine of Christ more precisely, and otherwise then he meant.

Christ meant, we should do our good works principally for the love & honor of God,and not desire to have them seen of men to glorify ourselves thereby,but to glorify God, and that others might do the like; but they did all their works,as Christ said of them, publicly to purchase glory to themselves and to their own private ends, they made clean the outside of the dish or platter, but the inside they left foul.

They Tithed mint and rew, and such small things very precisely and scrupulously,but for the greater Tithes they made no scruple to detain; they would strain at a gnat, as the Proverb is, and swallow a Camel; in a word, they were such as hunted altogether for the praise and applause of the people, being secretly men of ill life, and corrupt doctrine, to serve their own ends, of pride,riches, and ambition; and these were they that were most apt to carp at Christ, for every little trifle, to keep him under, that they might bare all the sway: They would carp at the disciples, for not washing their hands before meat,at their rubbing a little corn out of the ears between their hands upon the Sabbath day,to eat, as they traveled upon the way,being hungry, caviling at them as if they had broken the Sabbath day with servile labor in rubbing the corn out of the ears; at Christ, for curing the sick upon the Sabbath day, for conversing with publicans and sinners for their conversion,and the like niceties of their own hatching,as though they were the only pure guides of the people,putting the whole Sum of their religion,in outward shows of piety and purity: and these men by their outward carriage, for their own ends and interest, not seeking the things of God, but themselves,and their own,did so insinuate themselves into the favor of the people,as Josephus a man of their own Sect and nation testifieth,and made their faction so strong,that if they opposed against Princes, or the high Bishops,whether their cause were right or wrong, they would take part with them:and what do I speak of Princes and high Bishops, and bring Josephus for a witness? we all know , they were so prevalent,and potent with the people of the Jews,that they brought them to prefer a murderer even before Christ, and to cry out with one voice, to have him crucified,whom of themselves they honored as a holy Prophet, & would have made him their king.

Of these kind of people it was that Christ admonished us, that are Catholics,if any amongst us are like unto them, ( as no doubt there are too many) that we beware carefully, we be not transported,& carried away with their outward shows, to beware not only of the leaven of their hypocrisy in life,but also in doctrine serving thereunto (the pharisees being culpable in both) telling us here, that is to say, all manner of virtue and honesty in general (for so the Philosopher sayth,Justice is to be taken) do exceed that of the pharisees, we cannot enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

According to the majority of the Church Fathers, the visible Authority of the Roman Emperor hinders the manifestation of the Antichrist. Let no man deceive you by any means: for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition who opposeth and is lifted up above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God showing himself as if he were God. Remember you not that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. The general Roman Catholic view or interpretation of the Lesson from the second Epistle of blessed Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians is as follows:

First: The final revolt against the authority of the Roman Emperor:

Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Second: The removal of the authority of the Roman Emperor, who is the one who withholdeth the manifestation of the antichrist:

And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8

Third: The usurpation of the Authority of the Roman Emperor by the antichrist:

Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself as if he were God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4

The purpose of this site is to bring attention to this very fact that Saint Paul speaks only of the authority of the Holy Roman Emperor in his Second Epistle to the Thessalonians. And that the Roman Catholic Church has always held to this interpretation of St Paul: that it is the authority of the Roman Emperor is he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way, then will the Antichrist be made manifest. Being infected with the lies of modern Democracy, you probably don't know this, but, the Catholic Church is not a political party.

You do know, that if you, the child of Democracy that your are, wanted to form a political party - you could do so!

So because you attend the Latin Mass, and are disgusted by the prelates, and are infected with the nonsense of Modern Democracy - you believe that you have a right to form a Catholic movement without the permission of the Bishop or Pope!

If the men are not sent by the Pope, the nation did not convert to the one true faith.

Catholics are not allowed to go out on their own.

I think it is very clear by now that Voris is the forerunner to the Antichrist.

Voris admits to a lifetime of Sodomy. Voris says he gave up  his love of Sodomy when he was in his forties. He blames others for forcing him to come out of the closet, and make a public statement. There is no proof that others forced his hand. Voris never blamed his conscience. Voris failed to announce his love of Sodomy when he started out on his apostolate. Voris failed to admit his love of Sodomy in his book - I think that's where the truth lies - in the release of his book. No mention of Gary's Gay lovers in his book, may have prompted a couple of Gary's Gay lovers to remind Gay Gary from whence he came....

What this blog as accused Gary of being - is a possible candidate to be the forerunner of the Antichrist.

Everything is falling into place, as we see Gary willingly outing himself as the forerunner to the Antichrist.

It has become very apparent to us here at our little apostolate that something is terribly wrong in the Church.

We are not alone. Quite a number have preceded us; others are arriving at the same conclusion. That something is terribly amiss shouldn't be a source of despair. The Church has lived through disastrous times in the past and will survive this as well because the King of the Universe Who established the Catholic Church as His Bride wills that She survive.

But the guarantee of the Heavenly King should not have the opposite effect of despair, that is, cause a complacency, a quietism, that we need do nothing because God will take of things. There is a happy balance between despair and complacency — that is humble action.

As the fourth-century Father of the Church St. Augustine proclaimed, "Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you."

What plagues the Church now is one of the greatest crises in Her 2000-year history. It needs people praying and working to battle this crisis — people totally and completely dedicated to the love of souls, committed to work for their salvation — for this is what the crisis is about: salvation and damnation.

This is the entire story of the Church, the spiritual war we are baptized to engage in. As Pope Leo XIII put it, "Catholics are born for combat." It should not be surprising that the same Pope who reminded Catholics of their spiritual call to arms is the same one who gave us the prayer to St. Michael.

For the past 50 or so years, the laity have been witness to, as well as victims of, an increasing loss of faith among the clergy. That loss of supernatural faith began more than a century before, so what we are heirs of right now is a nearly two-century crisis that only became visible to the laity in the past half century.

Some Catholics remained valiant in the face of all this. They held the fort, so to speak, against the most diabolical attacks the Church had undergone since the Protestant Revolt 500 years ago. These Catholics — mostly laity, but many clergy as well, God bless them all — preserved authentic Catholicism in their daily lives. They formed the backbone of what we could call a resistance within the Church — a resistance against forces of Modernism, which Pope St. Pius X rightly called "the synthesis of all heresies."

What the Church is facing now is the great crisis brought about by the synthesizing of all heresies, a rejection of the divinity of Our Blessed Lord, the rejection of the efficacy of the sacraments, most especially the Blessed Sacrament, a denial of the true character of the Church as the indefectible Bride of Christ, and a wholesale betrayal of the Faith by many of the bishops consecrated to protect Her.

What is needed now — immediately — is the marshalling of the forces of men of good will, of Catholics deeply committed to Our Lord and His Blessed Mother. These Catholics, born for combat, need to enter in the battle with a ferocity that the enemy has been engaged in for two centuries. Much ground has been ceded. Innumerable souls lost.

We must build on the efforts of those who came before us and solidify their sacrifices and form a resistance movement within the Church — not to topple Her, as heretic priest Martin Luther did, but to root out his disciples still present in the Church. In a way, Church Militant and St. Michael's Media have already been doing this in an unconscious manner for a while now, but today we are formally announcing the formation of The Resistance.

We spoke about this at the end of last year. We asked many of you to express your support, and hundreds of you responded. Thank you. We intend to begin a surge, a counter-offensive, a resistance to the filth, as Pope Benedict styled it. This is the Church of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She has been mistreated and abused by many of Her shepherds and priests. Her members have walked away from Her into ruin.

The time has come to resist these evils on every front, in parishes, in chanceries, in universities, in religious congregations — in short, everywhere they have seized control in the Church. Our initial efforts will include a twice-monthly video, like this one you are watching, dedicated especially to topics directly related to getting The Resistance up and going, the development of a movement of faithful Catholics. This will be available in its entirety to those who have signed up to be members of The Resistance. A shortened version will be available to others aimed at inspiring them to join.

We will be providing background information on various assaults that have been directed at the Church from within the Church to educate Resistance members in greater detail so they can be better prepared to counter the evils. We are going to begin a series of podcasts aimed specifically at seminarians and young priests, but of course available in their entirety to all members of The Resistance.

This is extremely necessary because even today, enemies of the Faith are still malforming and neutering many young men answering the call of priesthood. They are being deprived of the fullness of the truths of the Faith. We are going to begin a forum where various Resistance members who are in the same diocese can meet and begin to form local associations of the faithful to better address evils present in their own locales. And we will conduct monthly webinars from Resistance headquarters right here at Church Militant and St. Michael's Media in the archdiocese of Detroit — one of the centers of the crisis back in the late 60s and 70s.

This information needs to get out. You need to know it, study it, inform others and start demanding change and accountability. We have marvelous technological tools available to us now that previous generations of Catholics fighting their own crises did not have.

This presentation is just an introduction. We will be bringing all these efforts on line over the next few weeks and couple of months. If you have read our book "Militant," you have a kind of manifesto of the overall effort. That, we assure you, is just a beginning. We are all responsible to Almighty God to do whatever we are capable of doing to save souls.

Please understand: I have no more idea than you do whether Voris’ allegations against the Archdiocese are true or not. If they are, I admire his courage and applaud his canniness in heading off any assault on him over his past. Not one of us can claim freedom from remorse and regret. I am simply explaining why I resist the rush to garland Michael Voris. Whether his claim of intended victimhood is valid or not, there is a good chance we will never know. If no sordid stories emerge, will it be because Voris short-circuited them? Or because there never was any planned campaign to begin with? Either way, Voris stands to win; the advantage belongs to him. No one, not even the Archdiocese, can prove a negative. 

That, plus my own distaste for his modus operandi, leaves me outside the chorus of pray-ers, well-wishers, and enthusiasts who raced to their keyboards to bless the Prodigal Returned. My mind’s eye sees only the ghost of Aimee Semple McPherson, celebrity evangelist in the 1920s and ’30s. She is thought to have faked her own death to cover up an extramarital affair. Hey, someone has to say it.

By his own admission, Gary was introduced to Sodomy at a very young age. And Gary was a Sodomite for most of his adult years, again, according to his own admission. 

If Gary was sodomized at a young age, let's say 7 or 8, and Gary continued to engage in Sodomy up until his "reversion" in 2004, that would mean that Gary was a Sodomite for over 30 years! And I doubt that Gary quit sodomy cold turkey, during his "reversion" after engaging in Sodomy for a good 33+ years. 

Even as Gary attended the new mass as a grown man in his mid-forties, I bet Gary, like most, still went back to his vomit once and a while practicing his new found faith. 

So to say that Gary was a Sodomite for 33+ years is not a stretch by any means.

Saint Michael’s Media is an effort to bring the new evangelization and the lay apostolate to the new media, and to embody the spiritual works of mercy of instructing the ignorant, admonishing the sinner, and teaching the Catholic faith. Our work is dedicated to saving our own souls by making ourselves available to Our Blessed Lord to be used to help save other souls. It is in this spirit that we want to share our apostolic work with young men (18-25 years of age, with minimum of a high school degree) still discerning how they might best serve Christ and His Church, as they seek to respond to the call of the Holy Spirit in their lives (emphasis on, but not limited to, former seminarians and those currently discerning).

So, we are embarking on a new endeavor we call PAUSE: a twelve-month program, structured roughly around a traditional academic calendar in which candidates learn deeply about the Catholic Faith by taking a “pause” from their current life circumstances and come to pray/discern/study/work/live with other like-minded individuals who desire to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, and how best to serve the Church.

The program is directed toward young men who feel a deep desire to be at the service of the Church in this current time of Her great need, but who may not have had the opportunity to discern exactly how they can best do this, whether through a religious vocation, a vocation to marriage, or a dedication to the life of lay consecrated celibacy.

This “pause” provides an opportunity for such reflection while also spending considerable time in study of the Faith, learning and doing the work of television production at the service of the Church, and most importantly, developing an established habit of prayer, both communal and private. All of this will be done while living together in a house of discernment.

PRAYER

Paramount in any discernment for a life in service to the Church is prayer. With an emphasis on frequent Mass, daily public recitation of the Divine Office, the Rosary, Angelus, mental prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, spiritual direction, and days of reflection, discerners will encounter the art of “communication” with Our Lord. They will take what they have received in contemplation and distribute the fruits in media productions of St. Michael’s Media. Privately, traditional spiritual readings drawn from the Saints, Fathers, and Doctors of the Church will also be regular.

MATURITY

The Holy Spirit can only be heard in the ear that is trained and tested. Committing to one year of study, prayer, common life, and an intense sacramental life, the discerner will mature. He will obtain an invaluable year of experience working in and for the good of the Church.

STUDY

The current generation is suffering greatly from a lack of effectual catechesis and apologetics, former mainstays of the Faith. An integral part of the life of Faith is study and reflection. One cannot love what one does not know. With the goal of deepening love for the Church, and thereby Our Blessed Lord, catechesis and apologetics based on time-proven traditional sources such as Scripture, the Catechism, Church documents, and councils will be daily aspects of life.

SPIRITUAL WORK

In response to the Holy Father’s urgent and repeated calls for a New Evangelization,* and his desire that the tools of modern social communications be employed to their fullest, St. Michael’s Media has dedicated itself to a rigorous defense and promotion of the Holy Catholic Faith using precisely these means. All candidates will be very exposed to this work and undergo training for full incorporation into the daily public work in which we are engaged.

[*In his call for a New Evangelization, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI states that “we are searching for . . . a new evangelization, capable of being heard by that world that does not find access to 'classic' evangelization. . . . LIVING

Because the work of discernment is accomplished both privately and in community, all candidates will live in the same house, which will be provided in exchange for their commitment to work. All other expenses incurred during the year are the responsibility of the candidate.

It is anticipated that transportation is the responsibility of the candidate, as well as car insurance and health insurance.

[It is very important to consider at this point that the PAUSE program, while having a very heavy work aspect to it, is not primarily a job for a year. It is an opportunity to discern how one can best spend his life in service to the Church.]

Discerners will live in close contact with laymen who have dedicated themselves to apostolic celibacy at the service of the apostolate and at the service of Holy Mother Church.

PRIESTLY ASSISTANCE

While the program is a lay initiative, discerners will be able to draw upon the pastoral care of priests who understand the Church's current struggles and are completely in conformity and juridical unity with the Roman Pontiff. These priests will be deeply involved and available for spiritual guidance and direction, Mass, and confession. Saint Michael’s Media is very committed to a holy priesthood and abundantly hopes many candidates will recognize a vocation to the priesthood in their own circumstances.

THE CANDIDATE

Each candidate will be given the tools to grow in both love and understanding of his faith through means of prayer, study, work, and community life. The results for each participant will be determined by his personal motivation, beginning with a strong desire to learn and discern.

Requirements for well-suited candidates include:

a strong willingness to invest time and explore one's current life circumstances

a recognition that the Church needs exceptional commitments in these exceptional times

a strong desire to engage in the work of the New Evangelization

an expressed interest in media production, research, or public relations

an eagerness to embrace the joys and challenges of communal life

If you have children around, you may want to view this first before them.

As you probably know, the apostolate has been somewhat silent this week publicly. That’s because a situation has developed that I must fill you in on. It involves the sins of my past life all committed prior to my reversion to the Catholic faith. We have on very good authority from various sources that the New York archdiocese is collecting and preparing to quietly filter out details of my past life with the aim of publicly discrediting me, this apostolate and the work here.

I have never made a secret that my life prior to my reversion was extremely sinful. I have said many times — in public — that I was in a state of mortal sin, and had I died, I would have been damned. I also revealed these sins were of a sexual nature and that they occurred over a prolonged period of time. I did not reveal the specific nature or details of the sins, because when I returned home to the Church, I did not think that a full public confession of details was necessary in order to start proclaiming the great mercy of God.

Perhaps that was a wrong assessment. I don't seriously know. Perhaps along these years I should have been revealing of greater detail. That, I now think so, but more on that in a moment.

Whatever the matter, I will now reveal that for most of my years in my thirties, confused about my own sexuality, I lived a life of live-in relationships with homosexual men. From the outside, I lived the lifestyle and contributed to scandal in addition to the sexual sins. On the inside, I was deeply conflicted about all of it. In a large portion of my twenties, I also had frequent sexual liaisons with both adult men and adult women.

These are the sins of my past life in this area which are all now publicly admitted and owned by me. That was before my reversion to the Faith.

Since my reversion, I abhor all these sins, especially in the world of the many many other sins I have committed having nothing to do with sexuality. I gave in to deep pains from my youth by seeking solace in lust, and in the process, surrendered my masculinity.

Many of you know the story of my mother's prayers and sacrifices and pleading to God on my behalf that I give up my sinful life and return home to the Church. I was thrilled, over the top with gratitude for what God had done for me through my mom and her suffering. He had rescued me from a miserable, horrible spiritual darkness where I lost almost all understanding of myself. And in order to understand the great mercy of God here, you must realize the corresponding great depths of evil into which I had plunged myself. Those were dreadful days, years.

I had great pain to overcome from childhood and my youth and instead of recommending myself to God in my youth, I gave in to the flesh and died spiritually. I shudder every time I think what would now be my lot had I died in a traffic accident or something.

I gave up myself — my masculinity, my identity, my self-understanding, my own dignity as a baptized Catholic. As I have said publicly, without the details, I lived a horrible life and would be in Hell had I been killed before returning to the Faith.

I want to take a moment to apologize to anyone who is wounded in any way by this. I did not intend to deceive. I just didn't see the need to provide up-close detail of past sins in order to inform people of the Faith. I thought it sufficient to simply state the true and overriding fact that I had led a horrible life, and through my mother's efforts, been given sufficient grace to come home as a prodigal son.

From the time of my return to the Faith, I have wanted nothing than for others to experience the joy and life-giving truth of the Catholic Church, to know that the dead can be raised, to deeply consider what is truly meant by "With God all things are possible."

All things are possible. "Though your sins be as scarlet, I shall make them white as wool." Even the most seemingly difficult, never-can-happen, not-in-a-million-attempts kind of things. All things are possible. No thing is impossible for God. He can even restore your formerly shattered, confused sexuality. It does not matter — whatever the issue, whatever the sin, whatever the depth of the deepest darkness, there is nowhere God can not come to you and rescue you.

He did it for countless men and women with horrible, horrible lives who became saints: Paul, Augustine, Francis, Ignatius, Margaret of Cortona, the patron saint of reformed prostitutes.

The Church is filled with such stories, so much so that one could almost say it appears the mission of the Church is to collect miserable sinners and turn them into saints. But that is exactly what the mission of the Church is!

There is real power in the Cross. It isn't just nice poetry and stuff of Church songs. "Lift High the Cross of Christ" indeed. Saint Paul saw that when he was done murdering the first Catholics. I'm not portraying myself as a saint, but I am here today telling you that everything about the transformative stuff of the Faith is real. It's true. I know it's true.

Through the teachings of this Holy Catholic Church established personally by the Son of God on St. Peter for my salvation, your salvation, through Her sacraments, through Her intrinsic power, I was given back my masculinity that I had squandered.

I was restored to life. It is real, every last bit of it. And when you know it, you know it — and you want everyone else to know it. And you want to make sure nothing stops them from knowing it like you know it.

It is freedom. It is joyful.

Since our earliest days, what we do here has been a target of the diabolical. He has put forth too many traps for me to even recall. The goal has been to shut us down and end this mission because we constantly speak about the glory of the Catholic Church and its life-giving power. He doesn't want that message being heard. He wants people being ensnared.

I have made many mistakes and missteps as the leader here, but in regard to this specific point, it was a mistake to not bring this forth earlier. I did not do it to deceive, but because I did not understand the necessity.

Now I do. I was limiting God. I was restricting, putting limitations on the good news of His saving power. He did not just save me from a bad life — that is far too general. In much more concrete terms, He reached down into the mighty dark waters, the tempest, a sea of sin, and drew me out — for nothing is impossible with God. Nothing.

I do not know what the result of all of this will be. It is difficult to speak of, beyond unpleasant to recall. But those sins are the past. This is a new life, a new man, as St. Paul says.

Dave was married to his first wife for how many years? before he decided to get the marriage annulled in his own words:

What are these "irregular" situations that the Bergoglio would not mention? No courage to mention them specifically? How about two Catholics "shacking up"? How about a Catholic engaging in same-sex behaviour? How about a Catholic who has deserted their legitimate spouse to fornicate in an adulterous relationship with another? What about a chronic masturbator? If these people do not know that it is mortal sin, whose fault is that? What mitigation is there in these examples. Perhaps depression might lead to suicide, this might be a mitigating factor and the person is entrusted to God's mercy.

So when it comes to Dave's first marriage Peter has the power to "bind and loose" and annul his marriage, even though many claim that the current annulment process is a great abuse, and Dave took advantage of the current laxity in the annulment process, and Dave was in the wrong to annul his first marriage, but when Pope Francis continues along the same lax lines and allows more leeway for others, Dave has a fit.

If its wrong for Pope Francis to be lax today then it was wrong for the Church to be lax when Dave got what he wanted.
